Apple iCloud Prices Go Up In Select Countries: Here’s What You’ll Pay
Apple has raised the prices of its iCloud plans in various countries, including the UK, UAE, and South Africa, requiring users in these regions to pay more for their cloud services.
iCloud prices have likely increased due to the fluctuating value of currency in these regions, and people will have to bear this increase as their iCloud plans increase. Here’s the full list of countries where Apple’s iCloud prices have increased:
– Great Britain
– Poland
– Romania
– Saudi Arabia
– South Africa
– Sweden
– Turkey
– United Arab Emirates
– Tanzania
iCloud prices in the UK have increased by 25 percent, as reported by 9to5Mac. So the basic 50GB data plan that was £0.79 is now £0.99 a month.
Likewise, the highest iCloud deal in the region is priced at £8.99 per month, which was previously available at £6.99 per month. Interestingly, the price check has been made for those with separate iCloud plans. Everyone who subscribes to the Apple One Bundle will still get the same price.
Apple offers all its users free 5GB of cloud storage on iCloud, which is clearly not enough in this day and age. By comparison, Google gives you 15GB of storage, which includes Photos, Gmail, and Drive. Apple’s iCloud plans start at 50GB of data and are more expensive than what you pay for Drive storage. In countries like India, Google Drive offers 100GB of storage for Rs 130 per month. For Apple users, iCloud+ is available at Rs 75 per month for 50GB of data, and up to Rs 740 per month if you need 2TB of iCloud storage.
